The NEXUS project is pleased to announce the release of two new videos featuring interviews with consortium partners, highlighting the project’s key achievements, innovative solutions, and long-term impact on the future of urban rail transport.
The first video brings together reflections from NEXUS partners on the project’s main accomplishments and lasting contributions to the rail sector. Through the development of advanced digital twins, system modelling, and optimisation techniques, NEXUS has generated valuable insights to support transport operators in improving performance, efficiency, and decision-making processes. The video explores the benefits of these innovations, key findings from system optimisation activities, approaches to tackling emerging cybersecurity challenges, and strategies for the exploitation and uptake of project results. Looking beyond the project’s duration, partners also discuss how the solutions and knowledge developed within NEXUS will continue to contribute to smarter, more resilient, and sustainable transport systems across Europe. The second video focuses on the innovative technologies and approaches being developed through NEXUS to advance smarter, safer, and more efficient metro systems. Consortium members share their experiences and perspectives on project activities, including predictive maintenance, 5G connectivity, adaptive metro systems, and enhanced passenger flow management. These innovations aim to create safer, more efficient, and better-connected urban transport networks that respond to the evolving needs of passengers and operators across Europe.
Both videos were produced by NEXUS partner UITP and offer valuable insights into the collaborative work carried out by the consortium throughout the project.
We invite all stakeholders, transport professionals, researchers, and policymakers to watch the videos and discover how NEXUS is helping shape the future of urban rail mobility.
